I only had a few seconds to shoot this raptor as the boat drifted past. Having that 50-500mm zoom all in one lens was great for this type of fast shooting, as it allowed me to zoom in for the portrait, and then pull back for another shot with more room in the frame. This bird never left its perch as we passed.
