A travel guide book for this part of Mexico will tell you that this church in the quaint little village of Copala along the Durango Highway was built in the early to mid-1600's. We asked the hotel clerk in town how old the church was, and she told us, "muchos anos" or many years. When we asked her how many she told us, "we say muchos anos."
