Epiphytes or "air plants" in the same family as pineapples flourish in the humid cloud forests of Mexico. These interesting plants come in all varieties, grow without any soil, and are a good place to find birds such as woodcreepers, which visit them for their stores of water and to eat insects that hide within the leaves.
