Conservation efforts along the San Pedro River watershed are focused on keeping the river flowing. Unfortunately they are not always sufficient to keep the river flowing due to drought, lowering of the water table by residential and other uses, and a myriad of other factors. Unfortunately, each year the river dries up a little more and a little earlier in the year.
