Siproeta stelenes
What do neotropical butterflies do when they are not flying around the forest searching for nectar, host plants, or potential mates? Not surprising, giving the frequent and sometimes torrential downpours in the region, they can often be found "hanging out" on the underside of a broad leaf in the understory, such as this Malachite butterfly was doing one afternoon along the road to Alta Cima.
