I finally put this hummer in my petunias where it could eat on its own. I watch it for a while and then went back in the house. When I went back later it was gone. I hope it is able to take care of itself. (see previous image)

Such a sweet little soul, looking a lot perkier. I'm pretty sure it will be OK as I think and hope it wouldn't have left you unless it was strong enough to strike out on its own. A job very well done, as is this charming image.
