I've been having difficulties too! But, I hope you don't disappear, Jim. I love your work.
A beautiful still life with wonderful light patterns.

I love all the photos of this interior series, nicely minimalist and very accurate

Hi Jim,

I am having no end of problems as well. I tried all day Sunday and Monday to load a single image to no avail. I also wanted to start a new gallery and that would not work either! I gave up! Yesterday it took another eternity to get an image uploaded. Like you say its driving me crazy too!

Something liked this happened a few years back and a lot of PBasers went over to Smugmug, it wasn't idea but they made a group for ex-pbasers. I for one joined reluctantly but it was not the same as the community on here, sad to say. So, I came back and now we are having the same problems if not worse problems than before!!

If like Isabel Cutler said, we could form a new group or something on Flickr and one gets 1TB of free space! FREE SPACE! unlike the 1000MB for $25 on here.

Sorry to put this in your comment box my friend but something does need doing.

Kind regards,
Graeme

Lovely image and composition using natural light, Jim.. Pbase is currently providing very poor service...Unacceptable!!
Julie Oldfield25-Aug-2015 02:47
It has been very frustrating. It takes so long so to upload and comment. It looks like a great place to relax after dealing with Pbase. V

A fine picture in an elegant interior…
Please do not disappear, Jim - don't give up!

A superb interior composition ! V
I didn't comment to much yesterday due to same problems...
What I like on Pbase are interactions and conviviality.
Hope it will work better today....

I hear you as well as the others but this is by far the best on line community for me. Please don't go...
Raymond24-Aug-2015 11:06
I know, PBase seems to be sooooo slow from time to time and lacking many interesting, fun and useful features of other sites ... I like TrekEarth (http://www.trekearth.com/ ) but it too has some limitations here and there ... worth visiting by anyone though. Seems we all use a couple other sites! LOL
Tom LeRoy24-Aug-2015 11:05
I'm with you on this issue but can't beat the community and friends on PBase. I'd love to sit in this comfy chair, Jim! V
Isabel Cutler24-Aug-2015 09:38
Nothing like my PBase friends - we have quite a community here, and that's why we put up with it, but I also post my images on Flickr as well. Best to have a backup to pBase! I do as well have good online friends on Flickr as well...and while it has its quirks and often makes "improvements" that AREN'T, that people don't like, it functions a heck of a lot better than pBase. It's implementation of EXIF data is EXCELLENT. Upload is very quick. Sorting photos into albums a piece of cake. I have a grandfathered Pro account with Flicker with UNLIMITED storage and I think I pay under $50 a year - don't remember exactly. No advertising. You can get a FREE Flickr account with some advertising. Check it out. https://www.flickr.com/photos/isabel95/

very fine composition, beautiful colors and lighting, Jim! V

I have the same feelings as Walter.....Hope it will work right from now on.V
fotabug24-Aug-2015 03:54
A comforting composition, especially in view of your frustrations. :) Took me a while last night too, but tonight is good.
Neil Marcus24-Aug-2015 03:16
I can relate. You'd think pbase would iron out the bugs once and for all!
hamery24-Aug-2015 01:15
I have also try the sites which Walter had memtion but nowhere like friends in this slow site !
hamery24-Aug-2015 01:13
I fell your pain too, brother ! Excellent light with fine details will ease the pain, Jim. BV+
Carl Carbone24-Aug-2015 00:52
I feel your pain! I spent the better part of the day trying to get my vacation shots loaded and captioned! Great shot, btw!
Kim23-Aug-2015 23:43
A fine composition Jim!! I certainly understand your frustrations Jim, a lot has left the side and I don't understand why they don't get it fixed!
Walter Otto Koenig23-Aug-2015 23:39
It's been sluggish off and on lately, and also earlier today, but it seems fine now.(Walter crosses fingers and knocks on desk)
I have web sites on 500px and flickr and have virtually no interaction with other subscribers there. Same when I tried zenfolio and smugmug. With so much time invested, so many photos uploaded and so many friends here I am most reluctant to go elsewhere.
Range View 23-Aug-2015 23:13
Excellent composition in marvelous light Jim.

Have to agree with the above comments,PBase is now becoming very unreliable.
David.
globalgadabout23-Aug-2015 22:35
the site is certainly sluggish today, and not for the first time...perhaps it is time to look for an alternative..
LynnH23-Aug-2015 22:33
A wonderful still life! Love the soft diffused lighting. V
Helen Betts23-Aug-2015 22:14
A striking composition, and I understand your frustrations. I'm about ready to give up.
