Definitely not a monarch caterpillar. I think they are Milkweed Tiger Moth larvae. Nnice shot, Jim! V

if this is milkweed, they will be monarchs, but hard to know from this amazingly gorgeous image. Fantastic detail and glowing orange-gold that pops right up. V
