Hi Jim, just came upon this page and didn't know about losing Buttercup! (that's before I found your photos). She's a regal beauty!

I wanted to tell you how sorry I am about your Buttercup. I know it's been a while since she died but I also know how much it hurts to lose a beloved friend. I am struggling with watching my oldest get older and I know the day will come soon when we will have to say goodbye. Rook has been an awesome buddy and protector and I sit here crying just thinking about life without him. Good luck with little Bella. How can people be so cruel? Take care.

I know how you felt......I tragically lost a particularly loved cat 20 months ago, and still feel quite heartbroken about it and miss him so much. I had two dogs many years ago, a mother and son, and when each passed away it was awful as it was just like losing a family member, and have been unable to have a dog since. I'm so glad though to see you have just given a home to a rescue dog....wonderful.

She is sooooo beautiful, proud, dignified, noble. It is heartbreaking to lose a dear companion. My heart goes out to you. I know you have Bella now, but all dogs we live with stay with us forever. VV

I was out of town last Fall when you lost Buttercup. I didn't know. Please accept my much belated condolences. No words can express my deep feelings about such a great loss. You know how much I believe dogs are beloved family members.

This is a beautiful portrait of Buttercup. Such intelligence and devotion in that lovely face. The image makes me want to reach out and hug her. She was a gorgeous girl. The photo shows such personality. You must have some wonderful memories of her in your heart. Those memories will never go away. Again, a wonderful portrait.

Jim , so sorry to read about your loss ,you had Buttercup for 14 years and that tells me that Buttercup had a great life.
I am sure as Buttercup enters Dog heaven and looks down at your family , will say thanks for all the love you gave me in my life living in your home.
Losing a pet after all these years is not easy to get over but the life you gave Buttercup will not be forgoten by Buttecup.
