Early this morning there was a report of 10 or 11 Blk-bellied Whistling-Ducks seen at the Pits (Ensley Bottoms)in SW Memphis. Truth to be told it ended up being 17 Fulvous Whistling-Ducks. Still a mighty good find in spring Migration and a new life-bird for me. Pictures digiscoped from about 100-200yds out. All be told on 8 May there was 16 of the Blk-bellies that had landed after the storm the night before, as earlier reported by Robert Gooch and photographed later in the day by Jeff Wilson but were gone by the next morning.
