Romania, the Land of Dracula

Romania is now a full-fledged member of the EU, but it is not as well known to foreign tourists as some of its neighbours. The country takes pride in its varied and beautiful landscape and a diverse and well-maintained cultural traditions. In the deep interior a string of medieval towns are hidden like jewels nestled in verdant landscape , often associated with the legend of Dracula or a colourful past. In fact, the Count was a well-known historic figure best known for impaling his foes rather than sucking their blood. A seven-day trip through Transavenia and Maldova yielded the following holiday shots.
