This gallery contains pictures from a trip to the Brooks Range in Alaska to search for the Gray-headed Chickadee. We enjoyed some of the best weather that anyone could hope for in this part of the world.
Traveling by raft we spent seven days at five different campsites.
We totaled over 50 species of birds three of which I had never seen before (Upland Sandpiper, Gray-headed Chickadee and Smith's Longspur).
Special thanks to Aaron Lang from Wilderness Birding Adventures and to my travel companions for making this a very special trip that I will never forget.
The pictures are best viewed in their original size.
Thanks Julio for sharing these wonderful photos. Each one instantly connects me with the memories from that amazing trip.

Julio, theses are magnificent. The landscapes are so well framed. And the pictures of the birds are truly great, especially of the chickadee. It is fun to see the group are fun and help remember the fun times we had together. Thanks again so much. Bonn
