Identification: Upperside of wings is dark brown; forewing has a narrow white band. Hindwing fringe is pure white.

Caterpillar Hosts : Beggar's ticks (Desmodium) in the pea family (Fabaceae).

Adult Food: Flower nectar.

Habitat: Oak-pine woodlands.
