Thank you Keith!
For taking close-up shots, you may wish to get close-up filters (58mm Hoya +4 is about S$15) or the better quality Canon 250D/500D close-up lens (S$100++).
I'd recommend you refer to M. Plonsky's website at :
http://www.mplonsky.com/photo/article.htm for truly amazing close-up shots and advice.
As for further advice on the F717, I'm afraid that I've already sold it off, so I may not be in any position to help you.
Cheers!

Hi Julien, your gallery is absolutely amazing! I was so inspired by it that I went to Botanical Gardens to take some pictures on my new F717. BTW, how did you get so clear shots for the pictures with the bees? I tried to zoom very close for some pictures of flowers, and end up having it blur, and no setting seems to help at all (I think I was using F2.2 and aperture priority). I'm a novice, so hope to hear some tips or advise from you about the F717. Some things I found out the hard way:
1. The ISO was auto by default, and some pictures came out really grainy. I've put it to 100, and change it manually when I need to.
2. After taking a shot, the picture doesn't stay in the LCD. But if you hold down the shutter button after taking the shot, it will.
Thanks!
