National Day Parade 2003 (The Many Faces Of)

Location : National Stadium therabouts

It's the nation's birthday! Motive today is to shoot fireworks from the very source.
Unfortunately, it's heavily "guarded" with no access granted to anything larger than a mouse... :(
The fireworks were spectacular at such a close distance, but that kind of experience is impossible to capture with a humble cam... In short, mission failed...

Hi Julien,
Looks like it's been a while since you were last at a NDP? I too had a disaster first outing with fireworks last year. Came better prepared (barely) this year for the rehearsal (1 Aug 2009) and here is the result of my second attempt at firework photography. http://www.pbase.com/robin_singapore/ndp_2009

I was in the organising committee of NPD 01 and am very sad to have missed the parade this year. These are the only NPD photos I have seen so far. Thank you so much for bringing back the memories...

I was too closed to the fireworks to shoot.
It was a great experience as a viewer though, cos the fireworks drop down all around you, and it feels like the end of the world or something.
