Cirque du Soleil celebrated its 25th anniversary on June 16, 2009.
In honor of the occasion, Cirque attempted to recapture its Guinness world record for the most number of people walking on stilts. The event took place simultaneously in Montreal (Canada), Las Vgeas, Orlando and New-York (USA), Fortaleza (Brazil), Lisbon (Portugal), Macau (China), Nagoya (Japan), and Tokyo (Japan)
