We had a warm, sunny weekend, perfect for walking the marsh
and checking up on the birds. I found quite a variety and
had fun with a little Anna's Hummingbird feeding her two
fledglings, one sitting just above the nest. Later I found
a pair of Bushtit's building their nest on the branch of an
arbutus tree, right in the middle of the path. Most folks will
walk on by, never realizing all the activity that is going on
overhead but I will stop by when I get the chance to watch these
two tiny birds bring a new family into the world.
