I hoped to get a sharp photo of this unusual little specimen growing on the end of a log
but all six attempts fell short of the mark. I thought it might be a slime mold
but the little spikey branches are not typical of the slimes. It was about 2 inches wide.
If anyone knows what this is, I would appreciate a comment. Thanks.
