Her pregnancy lasted 25 months, and the baby weighed 26 pounds.
That's a joke of the Grootemaat family, Jim and Sally, who searched for two years to adopt
a child. They received their large bundle of boy, named David, in 1958, and three years later,
they adopted a daughter, Sue. "When the kids were in their teens, we were sitting around the
dinner table," Mr. Grootemaat said, "and we asked the kids if they'd like to know more about
their biological parents." That is a trend, you know.
"No, we're happy with who we've got," Sue said.
David and Sue had found their parents when their parents had found them.
The Grootemaats cried.
