"My favorite memories of Homestead included playing in the state basketball tournament in 1978.
I can remember the busloads of people coming in as we warmed up to play Neenah. Of course winning
the state baseball title that same year with my dad (Don Rennicke) as coach. Carrying him off on
our shoulders was pretty cool. I loved having my dad as my assistant principal. I felt fortunate
to have him in the building. My mom and dad are still the backbone of our family. They have made
an art of being grandparents. I still go to my dad for advice.



I had a great group of teachers at Homestead. Phenomenal education! It prepared me very well.
I knew I was blessed to go there. I don’t remember having a bad teacher."
