This Christmas I unwrapped a CD from my Dad and Mom with pictures from when we were little kids.
They picked their favorite shots from a collection of Kodachromes taken sporadically throughout
our youth. Most of our childhood is pretty well documented with emphasis on birthdays and summer
vacations. The slides are well preserved with no hint of fading or deterioration. Dad had a knack
for getting crisp, candid shots in the days when autofocus and autoexposure were not yet available.
This is a picture of my Mom, our den leader, together Chipper Miswald, John Eifler, my brother (Ted),
Mike Kim and my sister (Anne), along with yours truly. You can see the flag in the background and
I suspect we were learning The Pledge of Allegiance. A little bit of Americana for you to enjoy.
