The last image shows the south fence line extending to the rear of the cemetery.
.
In the distance is the Greater First Baptist Church which fronts the east side of Montgomery Street. The utility pole
immediately to the left of the trees sits approximately at the corner of Montgomery and Race Streets. Race Street runs to
the left out of the frame. Running to the right is the driveway to the Hart home. The home sits approximately one lot south
of Hart's barn as seen in the 1893 Sharpsburg Map. Ref: http://bit.ly/bSyvbo
.
Standing near the utility pole and looking down the driveway toward the rear of the cemetery one sees the northern extent
of the headstones in this photo http://www.pbase.com/jtsmall/image/123751741 These headstones can also be seen in the following photo as
one stands close to the northern edge of the cemetery http://www.pbase.com/jtsmall/image/123751701 The Hart driveway and
house are to the left out of the frame.
The cleared area under the pine trees, most likely the resting place of Sharpsburg's early settlers, can be appreciated
in the following fourteen (14) images starting here http://www.pbase.com/jtsmall/image/124073816
