The Hayden Farmhouse
At the Lottamore Hayden Cemetery on the Nicholas County line and the north bank of Hinkston Creek we
found Lottimore Hayden and Mary Bryan along with their daughter Mary who married Robert Young.
Lot Hayden constructed the oldest brick house in Nicholas County in 1796-7, the one in this photo.
The house is currently undergoing private restoration by its new owner.

Daniel Boone is said to be a first cousin, by marriage, to Mary Bryan and stayed here often. His wife is Rebecca Bryan.
Lot Hayden is a direct descendent of John and Priscilla Alden who came across on the Mayflower!
John and Priscilla are said to have the largest number of decendents among the original Pilgrams.
