James Sosby, on his porch at Needmore. Beside him is the hearth stone from Coleman Small's log cabin.
This cabin once stood directly across the road from the Needmore Cemetery.
James' greatgrandfather is William Elbridge Burden and his house was next to Elbridge Hollar.
James also recalls Elva's parents, Albert and Polly Small, calling them Uncle Al and Aunt Polly. He says that Polly
raised a big patch of rhubarb each year. She would say, 'I have to go pick some pie plant' when see
needed a mess of rhubarb. As it so happens I really like rhubarb too.
