Learning To Love My Leica

My wonderful husband gifted me with a Leica D-LUX 3 for my birthday
after I whined about not always
having a camera handy wherever I went.
The 5D is great, don't get me wrong, but heavy.
(As for stealth -nonexistant.)
So, I've begun to experiment
and learn to use the little Leica.
I'm not accustomed to using a LCD viewer or a fixed lens,
but so far I'm having fun.

(AND ISN'T THAT THE POINT?)

You will love the color and portability and wideangle 24mm format offered by this camera. And if you use it mostly at ISO 100, you will not have to deal with much noise, either. I carry mine with me everywhere, and use it in tandem with the Leica V-Lux-1, which carries me out to 420mm. Both cameras share the same menu system and together they weigh much less than your heavy 5D. The huge 3 inch LCD display on the back of the D-Lux-3 gives you a live view of your actual image as well, something you 5D can't for you. What you see is exactly what you get. I agree..it's great to fit a small point and shoot in your pocket..a 5d and the Leica..you're going to have lots of fun..
