The pink glow behind the rose hip speaks to me of it's former incarnation.

Beautiful Jenene. The soft background is lovely.
Rose heps are the past and future of the rose.

There's always beauty in decay. And there's always life in death... It's amazing studying your visualisation and reading your interpretation. Thanks, Jenene.

You continue to draw on symbolization, rather than description, in your closeups, Jenene. Shooting a dead rose with its colors still resonating in the background is an incongruous concept. You use abstraction to selectively focus on only part of the dead flower, putting everything else into softness. Ultimately, you imply human values as well. We will all, in good time, become this rose -- well past our primes. We can only hope that we get a chance to bask in the reminders of our own former incarnations.

Superb! Great shot of a dead rose. I like the composition of it as well and the pinkish tones behind it. V
