It is the wrinkles, the cracks, the broken pieces
Which refuse to say more than a hiss
Through clenched lips.

Excellent play with light and mood. The anticipation is building up... Made me wonder what lies behind the door and who he's waiting for... Brilliant.

What Phil said. There is a real sense of mystery and expectation about this. Well done. Voted.

Thanks for the link to Ralph Gibson, Phil, he is very talented and someone I had not been aware of until you pointed him out. His images are worth further study.

In a way, this image reminds of me one by Ralph Gibson (http://simonpatrich.com/gibson/14.shtml ) It stimulates our imagination to wonder who waits beyond a partially open door. Gibson chooses a hand to guide the viewer down the hall to a partially open door. You move closer to the door, cut it off, and offer a hint of a foot within. Both images are about what may be waiting for us if we dare to go to that door and look inside. Or if we wait, will someone come out? Your image is abstract. The partial foot adds a touch of incongruity. And the human value of suspense is pervasive, and it is in Gibson's image. For more of Gibson's amazing images, seehttp://www.ralphgibson.com/gallery/
