Long Island in New York State is famous for its summer recreational opportunities and its beaches. The south facing shoreline from Coney Island in New York City on the west to Montauk Point on the eastern end offers wide white sand beaches on the Atlantic Ocean. These photographs were taken along the eastern end of the Long Island Atlantic shoreline from Smith Point County Park to Montauk Point.
