On October 23, 2014 there was a partial eclipse of the Sun visible over most of North America. At my location the magnitude of the eclipse reached 50% and the obscuration reach 38%. I observed and imaged this eclipse from my backyard on the SF peninsula between San Jose and San Francisco. My imaging telescope was a C80ED refractor with a 1.4x teleconverter, a Pentax K5 DSLR camera and a Baader Solar Filter on an Celestron ASGT equatorial mount.
