UGC 10043 & Hickson 077

UGC 10043 (at far right) edge-on spiral galaxy type Sbc in Serpens Caput. The faint smudge near
right of center is PGC 056100 (MGC+04-37-035) and is associated with UGC 10043. The smaller edge-on
spiral near the center is LEDA 214424. Hickson 077 is the group of galaxies at the lower left.
It consists of two pairs of galaxies at different redshifts. UGC 10049 NED03 (HCG 077C, PGC
056121, top galaxy of the group) and UGC 10049 NED04 (HCG 077D, PGC 056125) form the top pair of
the galaxies, while UGC 10049 Ned02 (HCG 077B PGC 056122) UGC 10049 NED01 (HCG 077A) form the
bottom pair of the group. Taken May 31, 2018, June 01, 02, 03 and June 05, 2018. Imaged with
Starlight Xpress’ SX-825 camera and a Celestron EdgeHD 9.25 at f10, on a Losmandy G11/Gemini mount.
The LRGB subframes were 12 minutes binned 1x1, resulting in the following total exposures L:R:G:B
(min) = 396 : 84: 84: 84. This image is displayed at 0.57 arc-seconds per pixel. Captured with
Nebulosity, calibrated and sigma combined in Iris with other processing using PixInsight LE and
Photoshop CS. North is up.
