NGC 7678 (Arp 028)

NGC 7678 (Arp 028) Spiral Galaxy type SBc, in Pegasus. The fainter galaxy to the lower left
is UGC 12619, Spiral Galaxy type SAB(s)dm. Arp 28 in the Arp Atlas is in the class of
“Sprial Galaxy with One Heavy Arm”. Taken Aug 31, Sept. 1 , 2, and 3, 2010. Imaged with
CCD Lab’sQ285M and a C8N at f5 on a Losmandy G11/Gemini mount. The L subframes were 5
minutes binned 1x1, while the RGB subframes were 2.5 minutes binned 2x2 resulting in the
following total exposures L:R:G:B (min) = 200:45:45:45. Captured with Nebulosity, calibrated
and sigma combined in Iris with other processing using PixInsight LE and Photoshop CS.
North is up.
