Alhambra Theatre

The Alhambra Theatre was located at 230 Central St. and operated from 1908 to 1916. Moving Picture World magazine in 1913 reported that "The Alhambra and Premier Theaters, Lowell. Mass., are now showing straight picture programs only, having eliminated everything else for the next two months." (The Premier was located at 390 Merrimack.) The Alhambra's building, located next door to the Boston & Maine depot was soon replaced by a bank building which is still in use.
