According to A Field Guide to Southern New England Railroad Depots and Freight Houses by John H. Roy, "Bradford was the terminal of the Andover and Haverhill RR until several years later, when the Merrimack River Bridge was completed. This station was likely built as part of a curve reduction and double-tracking project undertaken by the Boston & Maine RR in the 1870s The Depot once had a central cupola, is similar to stations that survive in Danvers East, Amesbury, and Swampscott. The railroad sold the building in the 1960s, and it has served as a laundromat ever since. Today it is home to Bradford Depot Laundromat and Dry Cleaning. The trackside windows have been shingled over."
