Yep, another Pitbull! Emmy Lou was an older, energetic gal who was starved nearly to death on arrival. Her coat was in horrible shape and she looked like she just had a litter of pups. She also tested positive for heartworm infection and every other parasite you can imagine. We see more abused / mistreated pitbulls than any other breed of dog. No wonder they have such a poor reputation. People just don't know how to take care of them. Emmy's only downside was that she was terrible on leash, so I fitted her with a pink harness. She did very well on it! After she was treated for heartworms and fattened up, she was adopted by a mom and son who had never had a dog before and they say she is the best dog they have ever had.
