Cheeto came from a home of an elderly man who was going in to a nursing home. She and all of her relatives lived outside and he fed them. I think we received about 20 cats from his home, all trapped by Animal Control because the majority of them were not socialized to people. I shot a video of all of these guys begging people to take them as barn cats (we spay and neuter all of them first). While I was shooting the video, I noticed this gal purring in her feral box. It wasn't long before I took her home. She was a bit neurotic with her food only eating certain kinds in certain places, but she was very loving and sweet on her own terms. She was a little Diva for sure! We had her for a long time waiting for space at one of our offsite adoption locations. She really loved the dogs, which was strange for a cat that didn't grow up around them. I'm happy to say that every last one of the cats from this group found safe barn homes to live out their lives in. Seven of them live on a really aweswome horse ranch in Bloomington.
