Slowly, she enters the site—an area off-limits to the public. Yet, this vest serves as her pass as an identified survivor.
She recalls that she was photographing cherry blossoms when, turning around, she found herself face-to-face with a spaceship. She caught sight of a few small-statured extraterrestrials. She does not know how they departed; she had been forced to avert her gaze, so blinding and intense was the light.

A scientist explained to her that it was precisely this ornament that had saved her. It is composed of a special material containing a certain element—one whose name evokes "Zeviquantium"—found nowhere on Earth. A mere ten grams of this element resting on her head is sufficient to keep her brain healthy and active, while simultaneously repelling all forms of radiation.
Will the scientists use her merely as a means to send them signals to return? She must prepare herself for this eventuality.
