We had to deal with fires and road closings as we headed West to this area,
We arrived later than expected a little tired and stressed from the experience.
You can see the smoke on the horizon still from quite a long ways away.
It was worth the drive! Such a neat photo. When we were out there we saw the signs for the Painted Desert but it was a very long drive from where we were. This photo makes me feel bad that we missed it! V
So vibrant and presented beautifully. The two hikers provide a wonderful sense of scale in your image and the colors, clarity and composition are spectacular. There is a very special beauty in this harsh but most inviting landscape. VV++
A marvelous sweeping view, though if the the two tiny figures on the left are people, it gives this image a different scale than what I was seeing originally.
the distant smoke adds an alarming aspect...still, this scene is beautiful, and hopefully safe with so little fuel available...love the predominant golden tones..V
Fires in the West are a real problem- that's for sure, and unfortunately they're likely to get worse with climate change. Love how you included the bush in the foreground in the comp.
The painted desert is beautiful the detail is superb your after the shot work is also superb .
We get some of that on the east coast every know and then thank to the west coast fires.
Excellent photograph.
