Photographing a free range buffalo with a wide angle lens may not have been my smartest decision but it turned out OK. There are about 650 of them in the Wichita Mountains.
I love it! I think using a wide angle was an excellent idea so that the buffalo is still apparent and a major part of the image, having the whole vista really makes it tell the story of what it's like to be there. ~BV~

Great creativity in this shot and the entire gallery! Love it~ I traveled up to the Wachita mountains a couple months ago but didn't "see" the same shots as you did~ Great work! V.
Wonderful image!! Perhaps also symbolic, considering the lonely bison Roaming in the Wichitas. Fortunately, as far as i know, the number of bisons in America has increased since the worst times for bisons. Anyway, very beautiful image! V
You were claiming my pictures to be pretty good - seeing yours I know how much I had to learn. Excellent fantastic light and composition. With an wide angle you must have been pretty near to the best (correction my self: fantastic animal). v

They sure know how to camouflage themselves, I can only count .... one....! :)
Very strong rendering, great for this thundering beast.
