Stone Door is a popular location in the Savage Gulf area in Eastern Tennessee. In this part of the world they are Gulfs not Canyons, maybe because there are lots of trees? Maybe someone knows why they are called by a different name. The Stone Door is the only easily traversable way into the Gulf from the cliffs above.
This was part of a Nashville Photography Club Outing and we hiked Big Creek Rim Trail and Greeter Falls Loop Trail.
