We started in Catania and moved clockwise around the island. Sicily's blend of Greek, Roman, Arabic, Norman, Byzantine, and later cultures was exciting. The countryside at this time of year is beautiful--- green and yellow fields and wildflowers in full bloom. The people we met were very friendly and welcoming.
