Just got back last month from Harley odyssey with my Dad to the Arctic Circle, starting in San Antonio, Texas, 34 days (visiting family also) and 12K miles. It was rainy, foggy and muddy the day we did the Circle from Fairbanks and back and our Harleys had never been so muddy and generally abused in their lives. My 2005 Softail Deluxe with 45K miles gave up the fuel filter ghost at the Rancheria towards dark in a chilly drizzle. I was never so happy to get a room and hot shower and hot meal with a beer. Denis and a friend drove me and my bike 200 miles into Whitehorse Harley in a pickup the next morning. This man is a friendly and generous God--I couldn't even buy him lunch dinner or a drink, but on the way back through the Yukon I stopped at his place to have lunch and he took time to have a drink with me. Great guy, great business, I'll be back somehow some way, but probably not on a Harley, been there done that. Three cheers for decent and entertaining human beings like Denis! I did a trip from Australia in 2007 shipping a bike to Anchorage, a new BMW GS Adventure. I had real problems and made it to Rancheria where Dennis the owner drove me and my bike to Edmonton to the nearest BMW dealer. That's 1400 kilometres. He and his wife Linda are just the most amazing, generous ,wonderful people you could ever meet. I love them. I am still in touch with them. Bikers and travelers generally should know that at Rancheria reside GOD and his wonderful wife Linda. There are few people in this world that are as "good" as they.

Hey you guys,I'm real sure what to say, other than that I'm so glad I came across this page. Everytime, I see the word Alaska...hhehh I immediately "radar" in, I've never been but I love Wy., the Big Horns and the Rockies, and so,basically I'm getting at two things, no.1 I am, JEalous, heheh, lol, but no really, second I commpliment ya'll on the most beautiful photography, and , see...now I'm jus' addin one more, but -- Like we say down Here, in TEXAS, sometimes, with all due... RESPECT AND COMPLIMENT, I'm gonna give a a Yippie-ky-YaY, and (bleep-bleep)lol, Heee-HAWW, keep doing what ya do, and maybe one of these day, I'll get my ass up there, so to experience everyting that ...Is...AK !!!!! ;), i jus' better not forget my 'long- underwear' lol, bye bye, and take care. andrea

Butch & Jim, from Neal & Tina. We just got back from Luke & Kristen's in Kenai and had a wonderfull time. Sockeye was running alittle slow but we made up for it by fishing hard. Looks like you guys are having a great time. Remember it's not the destination but the journey that is the best memeories. PS, Neal said silvers should be running about the time you arrive, HAVE FUN!

Leaving the country is not the problem. You may want to wear your Sunday best when you try getting back into the country, otherwise, we may have to wave at you from the dairies in Whatcom County. Thanks for sharing this with us. Ned
