Mid-winter along California's central coast. A monster series of Pacific storms has the beach at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk littered with massive trees, stumps, pilings and debris. I'm walking about with my camera - amazed at the power it took to deposit all of this material here - when this couple walks out onto the scene and spreads their blanket.
