Jan 26 - SP with the dog

Haven't done a Friday SP for a long time and wanted to get Jack in the studio while he still looks a little like a puppy.
This was really hard work, trying to get both of us looking reasonable and looking in the right direction. You can see the bells to get his attention and the treats are just off camera!

Not sure about colour or B&W on this shot - and here is another of Jack from today resting after a long running / sniffing session

*Jack*

Canon EOS 20D
1/40s f/10.0 at 32.0mm iso400 with Flash full exif

By the way, thank you so much for your very nice comment on my photo of my Ben.

This, is wonderful. The expressions on both your faces are great and the flow of the photo is really superb. AND you nailed the lighting. I would feel great if this was my photo. I am so impressed that you took this of yourself. I am partial to Blank and white treatment but the color is great as well.

Great shot! That must have been harder than it looks - you make it look effortless. Your puppy has a gorgeous face.

Nice! Jack looks happy, too. Love the B&W, and the india pants!

Fabulous shots. Well worth the effort.

Very nice SP. I like both versions but I think I prefer the b/w one. You've done a nice job with the contrast. Looks good. Very sweet puppy too (there's no way mine would sit still for that).

Yes that's exactly it, the right hand leads to the shutter release.

Josi, I really like this portrait -- both b&w and color versions -- nice composition and tonality/contrast. I especially like the great expression on the pooch. I have a similar problem trying to take a photo with my border collie; she knows that the auto-focus beep means there will soon be the shutter/mirror sound, which usually means a flash -- which she hates. So, she's likely to charge the camera rather than sit and look cute. (BTW, whatcha got in your right hand -- a remote shutter, perhaps?) Nice work.
