I liked the expression on this Lions face - looks so mellow and cuddly.
Not so mellow when she was eating into a chunk of flesh about 10 minutes later though!

I love how these animals just have this pent-up danger in them ... they seem to calm and quiet like this, nothing is bothering them because they know that they are the kings (and queens) of the jungle. But when the time comes, that energy is focused on the hunt and the kill, without remorse or anguish. This shot just perfectly captures the calm before the storm! Nice comp with the plants on the right - a nice alternate look at it.
