At the end of San Francisco Street, one of the most important thoroughfares in the Historic Center, lies the plaza of the same name, divided into two areas: one in front of the church facade, wider and almost rectangular, and the other side, narrower and trapezoidal in shape. This plaza corresponds to the former open space of the Franciscan convent.
In the Plaza de San Francisco, a place with a long hotel tradition, the Convent of San Francisco stands out among its buildings, the great house of the Franciscans in Cádiz, founded in 1566 and restored in the 17th century.
