The houses of the Dukes of Brabant.
Located to the east of the Grand Place, you can see the Houses of the Dukes of Brabant. This group of houses with a single façade in neoclassical style were built between 1697 and 1698. By the seven different guilds of the city. The reality is that, in the back, the houses are divided and each of them has its own nomenclature. You can come closer and see for yourself. They called it the house of the Dukes of Brabant, because on its façade there are the 19 busts of the Dukes of Brabant from the city of Brussels. Among which are the first Duke of Brabant of Brussels called Henri I of Brabant in 1165, until the Spanish Kings: Charles I, Charles II, Philip II, Philip III..., who had titles of Dukes of Brabant. Kings or dukes never lived in the market squares.
