This corner building was built according to the building permit of 1901 and designed by architect Fr. Vandeput. It was conceived as a detached single house with two floors - the ground floor partly raised in accordance with the street slope - and two bays under a mansard roof; A stable and depot were added to the courtyard. Due to its picturesque eclectic design with a neo-Flemish Renaissance slant, this town house forms an iconic corner accent in the street scene. The expressive and pictorial use of the materials is striking: brick for the masonry in combination with white natural stone for, among other things, the relief bands, marble layers and decorative elements, in addition to the processing of blue stone for the plinth and partly also the sills and frames, and as a striking element finally, an ostentatious and decorative use of woodwork. The facade shows a playful, asymmetrical composition.
