The urban park at the congress centrum Neue Weimarhalle is part of the Asbachgrünzug ensemble. It was first mentioned as a ducal tree garden in the 15th century. In the 18th century it was leased to Friedrich Justin Bertuch, a merchant from Goethe's time. At the beginning of the 20th century it came into city ownership.Today it is primarily the transition from the Congress Center Neue Weimarhalle across the terraces into the city. The music school directly in front of the Weimarhalle was built directly on the banks of the pond as part of the new construction of the Weimarhalle. Open-air concerts and festivals take place there. It is also very popular as a place to play for children and an oasis of peace and nature in the middle of the city.
