Main gate, built around 1600, and town hall, built in 1579/81 by the well-known stonemason and foreman Hans Keesenbrod from Segnitz. On the corner, as well as on the top of the gable, the statue of the knight St. George, who kills the Lindwurm with his spear, rises up as a landmark of the market town. The George statue on the gable was the symbol of customs law for Main shipping, visible from afar for boatmen on the river. The statue at the corner of the town hall symbolized market justice. On the 1st floor is the ballroom and the richly paneled former council hall, now the wedding hall.
