On a plot of land that had occupied the former prison , owned by the municipality, bought by the savings bank, Enric Sagnier designed a building that combined the use as the bank's headquarters in the city with residential flats private on the upper floors. The building consists of two bodies arranged at right angles joined by a central body that has a facade with a convex profile. Each of the bodies is highlighted by a dome. The main facade is vertically articulated with three sectors, the ground floor, with a differentiated stone treatment, a middle sector, which is made up of the first and second floors, and a third floor finished by the domes and baluster railingsfrom the roof The four double-height Corinthian order columns stand out, which point to the axis of symmetry of the building. At the bases of the columns there are sculptural reliefs by Eusebi Arnau , which allude to the ideals of the savings bank. One of them incorporates the silhouette of the bell tower of the priory of Sant Pere
